I love anniversaries, birthdays, and holidays. Makes you wish every day was a day to celebrate. My 3 year old grandson has the right idea. Every day is a holiday to him. Every time he leaves our house he says, "Happy Turtle Day." It all started last Thanksgiving when everyone left, they said, "Happy Turkey Day" and he thought that was great. He said it for a week or two then one day decided to change Turkey to Turtle. It's been Turtle ever since.

When deciding on my favorite quotes for the year I decided to choose “Deep Thoughts.” (below) Yes, this says a lot about me - I do have a strange sense of humor. Last year I talked about how tacky I am (see Tacky Party) and I thought I’d share some more of that tackiness with you. So, In keeping with that theme, I decided to intersperse some tacky humor amid my brilliant take on life this year. Enjoy!

My Family background:
My husband is 100% Swedish. I'm a mutt: My father's side were all from England (but came to America in 1620 - so his side is REALLY American -). My mother's side has Yugoslavian, Macedonian, Bulgarian, Hungarian, Romanian, and German ancestry and she was the first one born in America - both her parents were immigrants who came through Ellis Island in 1911 and 1914.
